During the first design phase (WP1), user requirements will be defined along with the overall architecture of the platform, based on both user needs and the current state of technological development. Additionally, a study of the equipment specifications will be carried out to support the development and testing of visualization, tracking, and user monitoring technologies, as well as interaction technologies.

Work Package 2
Virtual and Augmented Reality Rendering Algorithms and Multimodal Interaction
Within WP2, the algorithms and methods to be implemented and supported will be defined and developed, focusing on rendering and multimodal interaction. The objective is to realize a software development platform for Virtual and Augmented Reality applications.
Work Package 3
Localization, Positioning, and 3D Reconstruction Algorithms
The main goal of WP3 is the development and customization of algorithms and methods for localization, positioning, and 3D reconstruction. These will support the VirTourARt development platform in enabling a wide range of Virtual and Augmented Reality applications. Activities will include the design and implementation of algorithms for georeferencing and spatial positioning of users and objects using GPS, sensors, RGB and depth cameras, and the reconstruction of the physical environment into the virtual space using the respective technologies.
Work Package 4
Subsystem Implementation and Integration
This work package involves the integration of the individual subsystems developed in the previous work packages. It includes the final implementation of the software libraries and the Software Development Kit (SDK), the integration of the SDK into the Unity3D development environment, and the creation of the accompanying technical documentation.
Work Package 5
Platform Integration and Evaluation
This work package includes the development and testing of representative application examples that demonstrate the capabilities of the VirTourARt Virtual and Augmented Reality software development platform. These application examples will be evaluated in terms of effectiveness, accuracy, performance, and overall quality, constituting the final step towards the complete integration of the platform’s systems.

Dissemination and Exploitation of Results
WP6 aims to define the necessary processes for the commercial exploitation of the project’s results, while also outlining the dissemination and communication activities for promoting the project and its outcomes.
